Sian at Sinful Skin has recently passed the Masced certification for Melanoma and skin cancer early detection.

Words from Sian- “I always keep a lookout on clients skin for any changes and anything that looks concerning. This is something that is very important to me as I have identified several melanomas on my grandmas skin and she has gone on to have them removed.

While I am not trained to diagnose people with skin cancers I have the knowledge to look for changes and advise you if I think you should see a GP or dermatologist. Going forward with this knowledge I will be doing thorough consultations and taking photos to keep on record cards so we can see any changes at any point.

Most skin cancers are preventable and when detected early enough are removed easily, early detection is the key in all this. If there is any new moles, or existing moles, crusty patches of skin or skin that won’t heal that you’re concerned about then please chat to me about it on your next appointment.”
